I grew up on Long Island, NY. In 1988 I was a college student spending my summer working as an elevator operator in New York City. The money was great, the men I worked with were hilarious and I got to hang out with people like Donna Karan and Ralph Lauren everyday (when they were in my elevator!) However, by the end of the day I could barely stand up straight. Here I was, a kid, and I had such severe lower back pain, I didn’t know what to do with myself. I would actually sit up against the wall of the elevator and pass floors by just so I did not have to stand up.

Thankfully my Mom introduced me to her chiropractor and within several visits I was able to handle a full day on the job without having to wonder if I just left Tommy Hilfiger waiting for an elevator!read more»

Once I began a new semester at school, some of my pain returned when my poor study postures resumed. I’d been pursuing a pre-med course of study, but was not sure of the specific direction I wanted to take. I started seeing a chiropractor regularly while away at school and learned that there was more to chiropractic than just pain relief. I soon realized that the drugless, non-surgical basis of this healthcare field fit with my system of beliefs more than the medical profession did. At last, I had a path to follow.

I finished college with a degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I continued on to graduate school at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, graduating with honors in 1994. In 2004, I completed a post-graduate fellowship program concentrating on pediatric and pre-natal chiropractic care taught by the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association (ICPA). I love introducing chiropractic to expectant moms and children. The results we see are amazing.

I met my husband, Rob, while at Palmer College. We have been married for 20 years and have spent all those years in practice together. We had a successful clinic in Burlington, CO, spending 9 years on the Eastern Plains. We relocated to Falcon in 2003 and have had the wonderful opportunity to help so many people in that time.

Dr. Rob and I have 2 wonderful children; a son and a daughter. In my spare time my focus is on our family. Our children are growing up so quickly, that I try to make the most of the time we spend together. I have spent several seasons learning about dance and hockey; now I am watching from afar as they are both in college!

I try to work out daily participating in cardio and strength training. I get adjusted on a regular basis, as do our children who have both been adjusted since the day they were born. While the kiddos do get sick occasionally, they rarely miss school because of it and they have never been on an antibiotic.

I only wish I had known about Chiropractic earlier in my life.

I began my Chiropractic journey when I was 11 years old. I had suffered most of my life from asthma and frequent sickness. After several treatments, I noticed a decrease in the frequency of allergic and breathing problems. I also noticed a huge change in my sports performance as well as less injuries. I had always planned on being a doctor but really liked the idea of helping people without the blood and guts.

Prior to graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, I attended Fort Lewis College and the University of Colorado. I have many years of experience working with athletes of varying levels from weekend warriors to those in a professional arena. read more»

We want our practice to be a down to earth, casual but high-tech experience. Everyone deserves to be treated like we would want to be treated. Most new patients leave after their first visit and mention that we were very thorough and different than any other office that they have ever been to.

Besides family, I enjoy all aspects of sports including hockey, golf, rodeo and the outdoors. I am also politically involved as both a District Representative and board member for the Colorado Chiropractic Association.

We do not vaccinate our kids and they have a terrific health history. We believe that a strong immune and nervous system is much more powerful to fight any dis-ease that may arise. I get adjusted regularly depending on what my body is telling me.

Thanks for visiting our site and I look forward to meeting you and teaching you how we can add years to your life and life to your years.

I grew up in Falcon, Colorado where I attended the local elementary and middle school. In high school I chose to transfer to Vista Ridge in Colorado Springs. I wasn’t much for school sports and activities. Freshman year of high school I was on the cheer team but that was about it. All my friends and family knew if they needed me, I would be at the dance studio. From the time I could walk I was dancing, heck I was probably dancing before I could walk. I started taking classes when I was 3 years old and by the time, I was in 3rd grade I was begging my parents to let me dance competitively. That’s dance class for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 9 years (and that’s not including extra weekend practices and competitions). All those years twisting my body into shapes that were…a little unnatural, stomping my feet into the ground and performing choreographed “falls” all took a toll on my body. By the time I was 18 I felt like I was in my 30s, but that didn’t stop me.read more»

I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to attend school at the University of New Mexico for athletic training. While there I continued dancing and started teaching my own dance classes. At 19 my body was constantly hurting. It wasn’t until one of my coworkers introduced me to her chiropractor that I started to feel like myself again. I won’t lie, I was skeptical at first. I didn’t know what this doctor could do to help me when I had already been to physical therapist and used my athletic training knowledge to “get rid” of the pains.

My first adjustment was nerve racking, but when I say I skipped out of that office…I literally skipped. That first adjustment made me stop and rethink my career path. I spent 4 years of my life thinking I was going to be a physical therapist and help people feel better, but that first adjustment changed my mind. I still wanted to help people, but I now wanted to do it in a different way. I continued my schooling and graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BS in athletic training, packed my bags, and moved to Port Orange, Florida where I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic – Florida.

I believe that the body has the most amazing ability to heal itself when given the proper guidance, which is why I still get regular adjustments and keep my body moving. You can still find me dancing; I just switched a mirrored studio room for a kitchen floor or gym room. I love spending time in the sun and out in nature. Whether it’s hiking, camping, or supporting the local farmers market as long as it’s warm and outside I’m there.

I am so excited to be a part of the Palmer Chiropractic team and provide care to the community. Now enough about me, I want to know more about you and help you start feeling healthier than ever.
